Enzo Stefanoni of Darien set a new record for New York state this spring for the most all-time high school varsity pitching wins with 43 wins in his career at Rye Country Day School in Rye, N.Y. No other pitcher at any public, private, or Catholic high school in New York State history has ever reached the 40-win mark. The previous record was 39 career pitching wins, accumulated from 2000 to 2005, by Josh Horn of Ichabod Crane High School in Valatie, New York, which is twenty miles south of Albany.
