Late Thursday night, the Rye Police Department notified the Rye Central School District that a threat, directed at Rye High School students and posted to social media, had been investigated and found not to be credible, school officials confirmed in a statement sent to parents on Friday. "While we understand the desire for more information, please be aware this is an active and ongoing police investigation,'' Rye Schools Superintendent Frank Alvarez wrote in a community email.
