The Greenwich YMCA Board of Directors announced Friday that CEO Ed Philipp is resigning after three years at the helm of the organization. Philipp, who came to Greenwich from the Rye YMCA in August 2012, will leave in August "to pursue other endeavors, the details of which have not been released," the Y said in its announcement.

Larchmont's Swim Across America Program Returns For Summer Season
Swim Across America's Long Island Sound Chapter in Larchmont, N.Y., will jump in the water to kick off its 23rd summer with eight opportunities to swim and volunteer throughout Westchester and Rockland counties. The summer season begins from 6:30-9:30 a.m. on July 11 at Westchester Country Club, 99 Biltmore Rd, Rye, N.Y., and continues at seven different locations through Aug. 1. The program offers swimmers half-mile and mile pool-swim options.

Rye City Schools Superintendent Frank Alvarez made the decision to return Carin Mehler to teaching after more than a two-year paid leave, called a "reassignment," according to a school district spokeswoman.
